P1: lotr the Fellowship of the Ring

ยท

Hey hey! NOT pilgrims progress, but Lord of the Rings!! Also known ask lotr, just if you’re wondering, haha. The books were written by J.R.R Tolkien!

So this post and the next are going to be about my thoughts on the movie, the characters, all of that sweet stuff. So, yes, there are two parts to this post! I’m super excited.

ALRIGHT! To start, I’ll have you know that the Fellowship of the Ring is the first movie of the LOTR series of movies. And it all starts after The Hobbit.

So basically I’ll give you a brief overview about the movie but, really, when you see the characters (in my second post, part two), you’re gonna wanna watch it.

The story starts with Bilbo Baggins ,the famous hobbit who lives in the Shire and takes care of a young hobbit named Frodo and Bilbo has this really important ring.

This is Bilbo’s home in the Shire also known as The hobbit land! Where all of the hobbits including Frodo and Bilbo live ๐Ÿ™‚ very beautiful. I wouldn’t mind living there!

The hobbit’s actually live in cute little houses like this one with nice gardens and such.

Okay, the ring is the sort of hard thing to explain but I’ll do my best.

So. The elves made 19 rings but then Sauron, he built another ring that was really important and the most powerful and he wore it in battle and died and his finger got chopped off and someone took the ring and it got to Bilbo after some time.

The journey would be long and hard to take the ring to Mordor where they must throw the ring into the fire to destroy it, but Frodo bravely volunteers. Sam insists on going and so do all the others that are in this photo. So that’s when they set out.

Okay you might be wondering about the other 19 rings. So 9 went to humans but they became evil and dark and something called Ring Wraites always searching for the one ring. And then 3 went to the elves and they are very mellow and responsible so nothing bad happened to them. And lastly 7 to the dwarves who used theirs to build mines.

So there you have it! I did my best at explaining and if you’re confused you should really just go watch the movies.

Now I’ll share my thoughts ๐Ÿ™‚

I really love LOTR. The characters are super likable and its humorous but also a very beautiful story of

  1. friendship
  2. troubles
  3. overcoming fears
  4. humor
  5. and light against dark (good against evil)
  6. very wholesome

Now I will end with one of my favorite J.R.R Tolkien quotes (Samwise says it though).
