Narnia Pres

·

Hey guys! It’s Cara here;)

just saying that these books were really good and I enjoyed them! I Hope this post can encourage you to read them and they are so awesome and they bring the good and only truth to the world.

Also thanks so much for reading.

The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe

The Pevensie kids get to Narnia through a wardrobe, while playing a game of “Hide and Seek” on a rainy day. The wardrobe leads them to Narnia, and the book is about how the creator of Narnia, the mighty lion, Aslan, frees the spell of the evil white witch. Where…

Aslan, the blameless most perfect breathing living being, pays the penalty with a mighty beautiful act of love that mirrors the one we see in the Bible. The 4 Pevensie kids help restore Narnia.

Prince Caspian

This book is about how brave Prince Caspian and his good army of talking animals/beasts battled and won/defeated the Telmarines.

(This is basically taken from the back of the Narnia book, so I’m guessing C.S. Lewis wrote it)

Voyage of Dawn Treader

The 3rd book (my favorite) is how now Caspian is king, and his companions – which include 2 of the Pevensie kids and their “annoying” cousin (who I personally like) – and they all sail through the magical waters.

They face lots of obstacles and challenges, rescue 7 kings, and sail to the end of the world where they there meet Aslan. This book has all of my favorite characters in it.

The Silver Chair

The Silver Chair is about how Caspian’s son, Prince Rilian, who was imprisoned and gone sorta crazy by being held captive by the Emerald Witch in her underground kingdom, escaped having help by 2 children (which one is the Pevensie kids cousin) and a Marshwiggle which you won’t know what that is until you read it. Anyway they have good adventures and I love the part with the owls.

Horse and His Boy

Ahhhhh this book is good. It’s about how a former slave boy is actually a prince, and he leaves being a slave with a talking horse named Bree.

And how they saved Narnia which was being invaded! Oh, and they also had two others accompanied them: a girl and her talking horse who they meet along their journey.

The Magicians Nephew

This book is about how Aslan created Narnia from the beginning! And gave words and breath to the animals and also how the humans in our world could access Narnia.

The Last Battle

The Last Battle is the story of which darkness and evil came to Narnia and how 2 children, a king, a talking pegasus, and many others fought in the last battle of the old Narnia.

Then Aslan led his people to a new Narnia which was better, beautiful, big, paradise which most of the characters from the other books are there. It makes me look forward to going to Heaven and living eternal life with Jesus!

Favorite Book + Why + Different Parts 🙂

My favorite book was personally, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader! IT. WAS. AWESOME!!!! Partly because all the characters were so good – C.S. Lewis added a few new characters that were just key to the series and they bring so much life to the book.

Also, I liked it because it was the easiest book to follow then the other books.

  • Maybe because it was just written so well and I liked the characters and it was exciting so I didn’t fall asleep when my dad was reading them to me and my sister

  • or maybe because since they were on a ship there weren’t so many different places that I didn’t have a hard time following, even though they went to plenty of cool places, it just was more simpler to follow in my perspective.

  • In the Silver Chair, I just remember something that had to do with owls and I remember laughing about something, and i just absolutely ADORE owls, so that is that.

  • And then In the Voyage of the Dawn Treader, at the end of their journey where they meet Aslan and it’s sad, but beautiful. They are at “the end of the world” and Reepicheep goes to Aslan’s kingdom ready.

  • As always, when Lucy talks to Aslan, I love it. And so yeah.

  • My other favorite is in the Last Battle at the very end where they are exploring the new Narnia and all the good characters are there and everyone is joyful and as I said before, it makes me look forward to living for Eternity with Jesus.

Favorite Characters

Alright, so my favorite characters are kinda easy picks but hey, they’re all super good so no judge-y judge-y okay??

She’s actually the first Pevensie to discover Narnia and she is brave, clever, humble, and sweet.

She’s the youngest of the Pevensies so that often means the most curious, right? I mean, I’m the youngest of my family and I am always wanting to touch or go check something out so maybe that’s one of the reasons I really like her – because I relate to her.

I think my absolute favorite part of Lucy is her relationship (don’t tell anyone but it took me like 5 times to spell relationship right…) with Aslan. It’s so gentle and honest.

He’s quite the little character lol.

He’s the mislead one and it’s funny cause you’d think no one in their right mind would ever go and ride away in the frosty sled of the White Witch but there he goes (I mean, obviously lots of creatures did that cause she had like, a whole army).

I mean, Edmund is super clever, prideful, unrattled, funny, and a true hero.

And often his mistakes are the result of something pretty bad happening. But when he was mislead and then lead back to Aslan, he knows what’s bad and good. He doesn’t want to make the same mistake twice and so he’s a great fighter.

This little mouse is literally the heart of the team on King Caspian’s boat.

This little character shows that no matter how small you are, it doesn’t matter as long as your faith is strong.

Reepicheep is literally my favorite character besides Aslan, obviously. He is bouncy, funny, has great respect for Aslan, a teaser, a true fighter and loves Aslan so much. He has such a good heart and I’m obsessed.

He’s so disgusted and annoyed by everything it’s hilarious. I love the way he and Reepicheep bond (especially in the movie) and the way he changes once he’s been in Narnia.

He honestly goes through a lot and that changes him. So he shows me that even though change is hard, it’s often the best way.

ASLAN

Aslan is such a great character and so I just wanted to highlight Him. He’s perfect in everyway. He’s gentle, loving, but protective and a warrior. Here are some things I enjoy about Him:

  • He’s a LION!!!! Which is overly awesome! It’s perfect cause it shows He is mighty and powerful but His touch is soft and tender and gentle with His children and those whom He loves.

  • Dude, He always shows up at the perfect time! He is also mysterious in SOME ways but they are good ways.

  • He is just so glorious and every time He’s in the book or I see him in the movie I just wanna hug His big soft comforting body and stroke His shining silky majestic mane.

  • He always forgives.

  • HE IS JUST SO MAJESTIC AND AWESOME and His touuuuunnngggeee! So perfect 😀 and those gigantic paws are so velvety looking.

Extra Little Things

The author of The Chronicles of Narnia rocks! C.S. Lewis was very clever in the way he wrote his books. They bring laughter and hope and most importantly the Truth to the world and I love them so much and highly HIGHLY recommend them. He was a brilliant author and I love the way he wrote these books!

Also, my favorite books from LEAST to GREATEST, is: Prince Caspian (which I don’t really remember), The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, The Horse and His Boy, The Magicians Nephew, The Last Battle, the Silver Chair, and, of course the Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
